INCIDENT:
Triple Homicide (due to victim being pregnant at the time)
DATE/TIME:
5-20-09 / 10:30 P.M.
LOCATION:
4200 block of Faria Road, Faria Beach
VICTIM/S:
Brock Husted, male, 42 years old
Davina Husted, female, 42 years old, 5 months pregnant
SUSPECT/S:
Male wearing a black motorcycle helmet, dark complexion medium build.
Wearing a dark jumpsuit.
DETAILS:
A husband and wife were murdered in their home at approximately 10:30pm Wednesday night. A Male Suspect wearing a black motorcycle helmet entered the home of Brock & Davina Husted on the 4200 block of Faria Road, and stabbed the husband and wife, who was 5 months pregnant, multiple times.
The suspect had entered the residence through an unlocked sliding door located at the back of the residence. He then confronted Mrs. Husted in the kitchen. Mr. Husted, who was in the master bedroom, heard the commotion and came out, also being stabbed repeatedly. They were stabbed in the living room.
The couple's children were home at the time but were not hurt. The 11 year old daughter was asleep and the 9 year old son was watching television at the time of the murders. After the incident, the son, who witnessed part of the confrontation between his parents and the suspect, got his sister and went to a neighbor's house, who then called 911.
Deputies arrived shortly before 11pm. The couple was found in a pool of blood.
A massive ground and air search of the area did not turn up the suspect. A possible murder weapon, a knife, is currently being tested to confirm.
Detectives have not ruled out a personal motive for the homicides, but so far are leaning towards this being a random act of violence.
A community telephone activation system was used to notify neighbors of the attack. A helicopter, bloodhounds and canine units were searching the area for the suspect. Although one person has been detained, there has been no arrest made.
(Faria Beach is a gated community, but there is public access to the beach because of the Coastal Act.)

can't see this as random ... i think they were targeted, like a hit. children weren't touched is telling. maybe the murderer used a skateboard. such a beautiful couple with a beautiful home and life. nothing about the intruder taking anything ... why would someone enter a home, kill the adults, no robbery just for kicks?? makes no sense to me.

check out the facebook, Davina has a few friends there one has a rv and is into motocross, also some are mutual friends. check it out.... I have been doing a little research this guy or girl needs to be caught. No children should have to go through what they are going to have to deal with the rest of there you lives. So I ask the detective to check out space book see who is in there. Dont want to post names on here. But you will see

I live in a nearby community and police were out today still looking for clues. The officer told me they have 25 people working on this full time. At first, just the fact that he was in our neighborhood made me think the police still might be grasping at straws. I told him that I am personally not afraid as most residents are, but rather ANGRY that someone could do this in such a bold manner and get away with it. The detective said, matter of factly, "He won't get away with it. We'll catch him." Something about the way he said it left no doubt in my mind that they will catch the guy.

Everyone should be looking out for bloody newspapers or fabric in the brush nearby. I figure, without reading a bunch of hypotheticals into it, the guy had a motorcycle helmet so he was riding a motorcycle. He biked out north or south, I'd guess north, bloody as hell. He stopped out of site of people, campers, etc. but before getting on the freeway and cleaned himself up and threw evidence in the brush. There's alot of it. Perhaps Caltrans can send some litter clean up crews out to the area to scour the place. The residents might join in.

(local person here)a guy on her friends list CB on facebook had a friend on his facebook CS who is dressed as Manson as his picture and there is a picture of a bloody knife on a poster for the perfect seriel killer as his fav film?? weird! if its not connected someone needs to tell this guy to change his pic and I dunno..just weird if you ask me.

Has anyone connected The Original Night Stalker/East Area Rapist who murdered six people in Southern California from 1979 through 1986.Six murders in Ventura, Dana Point and Irvine, California, have been linked by DNA evidence to the Original Night Stalker. The Original Night Stalker is considered one of the worst serial offenders in California, and American history, and is also connected to at least 50 other rapes in California, and is the most prolific unapprehended serial criminal in history since the Middle Ages.
The EAR-ONS case was the motivating factor in the passage of legislation leading to the establishment of California's DNA database, which authorizes the collection of the DNA of all convicted felons in California. California's DNA data retrieval and storage program is considered by experts to be second only to Virginia's in size and effectiveness in breaking cold cases.
Brock and Davina Husted, both 42, were stabbed to death by an intruder in their Faria Beach home on May 20 at about 10:30 p.m. The Ventura Cnty. Sheriff immediatly developed the theory that they were murdered by a "crazed homeless person." This theory was never explained in detail, and a closer examination reveals some interesting similarities to the ONS. The home was for sale and located near water. Killer had no motive, and used a motorcycle helmet (ONS is known to have used a welder's helmet on at least one occasion during the East Area Rapes.) As in other ONS cases the expensive single-story home was in a gated community adjacent to Hiway 1. No diamond knot was used. But, ONS is known to change his MO, and no ligatures were used in the Maggiore murders (attributed to EAR). And, it is possible that the murderer was confronted by the victims before he had an opportunity to control the scene. Authorities have released virtually no information about the crime scene evidence. As of 5/28/09 the Ventura Cnty. Sheriff is now claiming it was a "random" crime.

They look like people we can't be losing, decent civil individuals who are fast disappearing in this country.
God bless them but, as they're in heaven now God bless their surviving children especially! My prayers go out that they can find a way to be normal happy kids again despite this satanic horror!
